Movie	Confessions of a Dangerous Mind

Nutshell	Chuck Barris, the wacky game show creator, was actually a CIA operative part-time. Along the way he searches for love.
Good Things	Man, I loved every bit of this movie from beginning to end. Why wasn't this nominated for any Oscars? OK. Charlie Kaufman with yet another amazing script. Cinematography that owes more than a nod to Stephen Soderbergh, who started the project. Just all of it. Go see it. Oh, and Sam Rockwell was superlative among a great cast.
Bad Things	No Oscars. (You fools!)
Features	Drew Barrymore! George Clooney, aka the director, in a cameo, Julia Roberts playing WAY against type, and it actually works. (There were moments when I believed she was smart.) Maggie Gyllenhaal, "Strawberry dick", the coolest fake glasses I've ever seen, I want a pair! (Fake hula dancers on it and stuff!)
Uncomfortable Moments	Some people mention the over-occurrence of Sam Rockwell's bare behind, but I applaud George Clooney for doing his part to put a naked MALE butt in as many movies as he can!
Notable	Warren Beatty started that confessional thing in "Reds." Here, the opposite end of the spectrum is done definitively, so we can end it now. (See Jaye P. Morgan's, if you don't believe me.) Oh, and good God, they got RUTGER HAUER! Or Jim Lange. "He was gone for weeks at a time, so I don't know if it was true."
Best Part	Did I mention how much I loved this script? I'm sitting here, laughing at parts of it, and I saw it a week ago. Oh, but Sam Rockwell was just awesome. Tears, even! But he and Drew Barrymore together were stunning. But then, there's that cinematography. I give up. It's all the best part.
Best Line	Finding the best line in a Kaufman script is pretty near impossible, but how about: "I found out what she thought it really tasted like." No, wait, "Game shows are born of Americans' need to make complete asses of themselves in front of others." Yeah, that's it.
