Movie	Blood Diamond
Nutshell	Ed Zwick’s big Hollywood tale of a white mercenary (?) and a black fisherman’s trek to find a huge pink diamond amidst extreme peril in Sierra Leone.
Good Things	If it says Leo Leo Leo on the label label label, you will like it like it like it on your table table table., Djimon Hounsou
Bad Things	Long and long and actually quite long, thanks for asking.
Features	Stephen Collins (!), Jennifer Connelly, sort of a lot of body parts being chopped off, teen killers, diamond mining, a smattering of heroin usage
Uncomfortable Moments	This is one of those movies where you follow the American to learn about the ordeals abroad and I thought we were well over this conceit but apparently not.
Notable	Everyone complains about Leo’s accent in this and I wonder if the dialogue that questions where he’s really from is due to this or if his accent is supposed to be suspect as part of the character. Hmm.
Best Part	Leo’s acting and his character’s development - but look who you’re asking.
Best Line	"I'm a print journalist; I drank it."
